OBITUARY
Mrs. Alice Sysock, age 74, of Mildred, PA passed away on Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Alice was born in Mildred, PA on June 23, 1931 a daughter of the late John P. & Catherine Kozelski Barsavage. She graduated from the Cherry Township High School, a member of the class of 1949. She married Stephen Sysock of Lopez on May 5, 1951; they celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in May of this year.
Alice began working at the former Weldon Mfg. Co. of Lopez, PA and later retired as the Floor Operator for the former Dushore Lingerie.
Alice was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Alice was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA and was very involved with church activities and especially the annual church bazaar. She also enjoyed canning, crocheting, reading and traveling.

and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra in 1968 and by two brothers, John P. Barsavage in 1969, Joseph P. Barsavage in 1976, and Edward Barsavage in 2000; and two sisters: Mrs. Julia Borick in 1992 and Mrs. Stella Shento in 1996.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 16th at 10:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, PA and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Mildred, PA.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. There will be a Vigil Service on Thursday evening at 6:45 P.M. at the funeral home.
