Mike was born January 17, 1947 in Manayunk, a son of the late Joseph Thomas Leahy and Stella Decola Leahy. He attended St. John’s School in the Philadelphia area. On October 9, 1965 he married the former Suzanne Brotschul of Manayunk. And they recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Mike was employed as a bartender for 14 years and also had his own deli. He was a social member of the Mildred American Legion McDermott Post # 452, St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Manayunk, and the Manayunk Rod and Gun Club. He loved to hunt and fish. He was predeceased by two sisters Joan Olszewski and Marie Hurley. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at 10:30 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Kenneth M. Seegar presiding. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery, Belmont Ave & Levering Mill Rd, Bala Cynwyd, PA.
