Soden, age 54, of Dushore, PA passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Vince was born in Susquehanna, PA on May 18, 1954 a son of Marie Smith Soden and the late Rexford G. Soden. His family moved to Dushore and he attended St. Basil’s Elementary School and graduated from the Sullivan County High School a member of the class of 1972. He received an Associate Degree from the Johnson Institute in Scranton and attended the Willow Street Vo-Tech in Lancaster where he became a certified welder. He worked at the Procter and Gamble Paper Plant in Mehoopany and later for Caterpillar in York, PA. He was a member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church in Dushore, PA and Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia, PA and enjoyed playing billiards, hunting and fishing and especially reading. Surviving: Two sons: Vincent Rex Soden and Justin Daniel Soden of Hellam, PA; two daughters: Cassandra Kriebel, Catasauqua, PA and Stacey Ammerman of Dushore, PA. Mother; Marie Soden, of Tyrone, PA; three brothers: Joseph Soden, Mildred, PA; Stephen Soden, Jefferson, GA and Justin (Kathleen) Soden of Clarksville, TN; two sisters: Rosemary (Carmen) Cosentino of Susquehanna, PA and Lorraine (Mark) Zabitz of Tyrone, PA; five grandchildren: Ean Ammerman, Dylan Ammerman, Kyleigh Ammerman, Colton Ammerman and Rachael Kriebel and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Gerald Soden and a nephew Michael Cosentino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA on Wednesday, Sept. 24th from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
