Catherine was born at home in Forks Township on October 15, 1915 a daughter of the late George N. & Minnie Epler Everling. She was educated at the Black Creek School and married Eugene “Chuck” Ferrell on June 4, 1934. He predeceased her on June 6th, 1989 after 55 years of marriage. Catherine helped Chuck with their farm chores her entire life and also worked for many years as the floor walker at the former(s) Weldon Mfg. Co of Lopez, Sull-Craft Mfg. Co. and the Dushore Lingerie of Dushore, PA. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church and a member of St. Basil’s St Francis Altar and Rosary Society. She was a loyal Republican and served at the Election Board in Dushore for many years. She also was involved with the Sullivan County Cancer Society and the Cancer Loan Closet in Dushore and almost every Bloodmobile. (Ronald) Lawhead Lancaster Jennifer (Clifford) Winters Lancaster Scott Plotts Lock Haven Ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers: Leon Everling and Daniel Everling and a sister, Genevieve Slater. A Transferal Service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29th at 10:30 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Overton, PA. Friends may call on Wednesday at the Homer Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Members of St. Basil St Francis Altar & Rosary society will recite the Rosary at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
