OBITUARY
Mrs. Helen Elliott Harned, age 89, of Herrickville, PA passed away on Thursday evening December 29, 2005 at the Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock, PA.
Helen was born October 15, 1916 a daughter of the late G. Mark and Mary Mitten Elliott. She graduated from the Camptown High School a member of the class of 1934. She married Bernard B. Harned of Sylvara on March 29, 1939. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Bernard’s death on May 13, 1999.
Helen and Bernard farmed Helen’s family century dairy farm for many years until retiring.
She was a member of the Camptown Presbyterian Church, the H.O.P.S. Ambulance Association, and the Camptown Civic Club. She was also a Sunday school superintendent, and a Girl Scout Leader. Helen was an avid gardener and birdwatcher, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Paul Bernard Harned in 1942, a brother Howard Elliott, and a sister Jane Starner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 4:15 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA with the Rev. Joyce Warner officiating. There will be a visitation from 1-4 P.M. preceding the service. Interment will be in the Merryall Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
