Joe was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 27, 1937 son of the late Joseph G. & Beatrice Bevan Griffin. He graduated from St. John the Baptist High School in Manayunk and served in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Simpson Paper Company of Philadelphia, in 1995 after 35 years of service. He married the former Estelle A. McKim of Philadelphia, on September 23, 1989. Joe and Estelle also were foster parents for Best Nest Inc. for several years. Joe was a loving spouse, grandfather and step-father. He really enjoyed living in the mountains of Sullivan County. He and Estelle retired to Cherry Township in 1995. Joe was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA. Surviving: Spouse: Estelle at home Three daughters: Kathy Weisenfluh Taylor, PA Jayne B. Ravert Dushore, PA 10 grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
