Norton, age 72, of Mildred, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2008 at her home with her loving family at her side. Margaret was born January 26, 1936 in Fox Township, Sullivan Co, a daughter of the late Ray Lloyd & Anna Leighton Brown of Shunk. She graduated from the Loyalsock Area High School a member of the class of 1954. She married Paul E. Norton Sr. of Shunk on March 12, 1955. Margaret retired from the former Endicott Johnson Shoe Manufacturing Company in Mildred, PA after many years of service. Margaret was a member of Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, PA. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, especially poker, and treasure hunting. She looked forward to having coffee with her friends and Pam’s restaurant in Dushore, PA. Brown Horseheads, NY Sister: Flora Burdick, King's Ferry, NY Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by sons, Terry Norton and Paul E. Norton Jr. and a daughter, Ida Norton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Randele Lee Albers, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Millview Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 1:00 P.M. to the time of the service. The family will provide the flowers and request that contributions be made to the Mildred Ambulance Association, PO Box 74, Mildred, PA 18632.
