Barnatovich, age 63, of Mildred, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital, in Towanda, PA George was born November 11, 1946 son of the late Anthony J. and Josephine Serafini Barnatovich. He graduated from the Sullivan County High School a member of the class of 1964. He graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport with a B.A. degree in the Russian Language in 1968. He taught in Western Pennsylvania and then taught Russian at the Sullivan County High School. He then began working for Procter and Gamble at Mehoopany from which he retired. He married the former Vanessa Mae Tuttle of Grant Hill on June 4, 1977. George was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA. He enjoyed sports and maintaining his home and yard. He also like to listen to music and will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor. Surviving: Spouse: Vanessa at home Son: Joel L. Barnatovich Carlisle, PA Daughter and son-in-law: Lisa (Robert) Elliott Dover, PA Brother: Joseph J. Barnatovich Mildred, PA Sister and brother-in-law: Jeannie & Mike Bilski Wilkes-Barre, PA Granddaughters: Kasey Elliott, Megan Elliott and Sadie Elliott and a niece Suzanne Nesmith, and two nephews: Michael Bilski, John Bilski and numerous cousins. A Transferal Service will be held on Saturday morning, Nov. 28, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 to the time of the service. The family will provide the flowers and ask that donations be directed to St. Francis of Assisi Church, PO Box 307, Dushore, PA 18614.
