Alma was born on August 30, 1927 in Lawton, PA one of ten children of the late Clarence and Lena Keck Ham. She married Donald R. Stanton who predeceased her on May 14, 1980. Alma was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She raised her children and also worked at the former Dolly Madison Ice Cream plant in Dushore, PA and late for the former Endicott-Johnson Shoe Mfg. Co. of Mildred, PA. She also helped her husband Donald while he was working in the woods. Having grown up on a farm she enjoyed attending County Fairs, horse pulling, watching NASCAR, her flower garden, bird watching and to keep her mind young, working word puzzles. Surviving: Five children: Judy A. Travis (James Parkhurst) Wyalusing, PA Joyce M. Rider (Steven Faulkiner) Muncy Valley, PA Ronald R. & Debra Stanton Dushore, PA Barb Stanton (Chuck Keeney) New Albany, PA Gary A. (Debbie Pendleton) Dushore, PA Sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predecease by siblings: Madeline Kaminski, Frances Kelly, Chancey Ham, Stewart Ham, Thelma Decker, Sterry Ham, William Ham, Joyce Mason and Norma Ham. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 3:30 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, pastor of I.H.M. Parish, Dushore, PA, officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
