Miles, age 84 of Laporte, PA passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Muncy Valley Hospital, Muncy, PA. Bob was born in West Chester, PA on October 22, 1926 a son of the late David Broomall Miles and Dorothy Cashman Miles. Bob worked as a Truck Driver most of his life mainly in the West Chester and Downingtown area. He married the former Alice P. Trego of Downingtown, PA on Nov. 12, 1982. They celebrated their 28th Wedding Anniversary on Friday evening. Bob and Alice retired to Laporte in 1991. Bob enjoyed hunting when he was younger and loved camping and the beautiful outdoors of Sullivan County. (Sue) Carr Media, PA Brothers: David (Janet) Miles Elverson, PA William (Sarah) Miles Everett, PA Sisters: Marty Kimnach Virginia Beach, VA Dorothy (Robert) Penny Virginia Beach, VA Sister-in-law: Barbara Gottier Coatesville, PA 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jody Miles; brother James Franklin Miles who was killed in WWII and a sister Jean Gottier. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 27th, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Cherry Grove Cemetery, Nordmont, PA the Rev. John A. Kettelberger Jr. C.M., presiding. The family will provide the flowers and request that Memorial Contributions be sent to the Laporte Fire and Ambulance Co., PO Box 31, Laporte, PA 18626.
