Hager, age 88, of Wyalusing, PA went home to be with the angels on October 26, 2006. Emma was born December 2, 1917, in Sellersville, PA, a daughter of the late William H. Moyer and Florence E. Schuler. She graduated from the Yost School in Bedminster, PA. On June 17, 1950, she married Newberry L. Hager of Ottsville; he predeceased her on June 28, 1968. She was a member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church and formerly a member of Solomon’s U.C.C. in Bedminster, PA. She was very active in the Women’s Guild at Solomon’s U.C.C. especially with the craft shows and turkey suppers. Emma was also a member of the U.M.W., the Wyalusing Senior Citizens Group, and the Country Gardeners Club, Bucks Co., PA. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, as well as yard work, sewing and crafts, bird watching, and spending time with her granddaughter. She was a lifetime member of Ottsville Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary in Ottsville, PA. Surviving: Daughter: Elizabeth Miller Wyalusing, PA Granddaughter: Leigh Ann Miller Wyalusing, PA Sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Loretta and Art Lasher Levittown, PA Miriam Keeler Coopersburg, PA Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and their wives, Orlando and Clara Moyer, Francis J. Moyer, Joseph and Jean Moyer. She was also predeceased by 3 brother-in-laws and their wives; Paul Keeler, Chester O. and Betty Hager, Francis and Edith Hager, and her father-in-law Oscar F. Hager. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the her pastor, Rev. Diane Prentice, presiding. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m... On Wednesday, November 1, 2006, there will be funeral services held at the Solomon’s U.C.C. in Bedminster, Pa, at 12:30 P.M., with the Rev. Dennis Hartman presiding. Friends may call at Solomon’s U.C.C. at 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
