Fitzgerald Sr., age 52, well known Sullivan County Excavator, of Mildred, PA died on Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Dale was born April 25, 1955 son of Melinda Adams Fitzgerald and the late Edward J. Fitzgerald. He graduated from the Sullivan County High School, a member of the class of 1973. He began working at the New Albany Machine Tool Co., and later worked for Masonite for eight years before starting his own excavating business. He recently formed a partnership with his brother Leonard Fitzgerald, D&L Enterprises, a container rental business. Dale was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA and was a very active member and former assistant chief, for over 15 years, of the Mildred Fire Company and Ambulance Association. He was a real craftsman when operating his equipment and would help his church, Fire Company and his friends at any time of the day or night. He also served a term as a Cherry Township Supervisor from 1990 to 1996. Surviving: Companion of 27 years, Elaine Barrett at home Son: Dale C. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20th at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, PA Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, July 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
