Elna was born in Finland on November 2, 1923, the daughter of the late John Wilfred Greenlund and Anastasia Remsu Greenlund. She came to the United States in 1928. She married Elwin F. Dellay of Glendale, RI and had two children who survive Colleen L. (Bruce) Hargreaves of Shelby, North Carolina and Lance F. (Linda) Dellay of East Greenwich, RI. Elwin predeceased her in 1959. She married George J. Fouquet of Washington, NJ in 1962 and they had a daughter who survives, Elna C. (Fred) Mulford of Eagles Mere, PA. Elna and George lived in Washington, NJ for 40 years. George predeceased her in 2002. Also surviving is a stepdaughter, Lorraine Fouquet of Cocoa Beach, FL and a stepson, George J. Fouquet III of Holly Hill, FL; fifteen grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a sister, Barbara Houle of Narragansett, RI; two brothers, Henry (Evelyn) Greenlund of Coventry, RI and John (Margaret) Greenlund of Bradenton, FL and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Helmer A. Greenlund. Elna resided in Eagles Mere with her daughter for several years. In her lifetime she loved to travel enjoying many wonderful cruises with family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, making quilts, country painting, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in East Greenwich, RI on September 20, 2008. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
