Steinruck, age 81, of Laporte, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 16, 2009 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA. Anna was born in Nanticoke, PA on October 30, 1927 a daughter of the late Otto & Leatha Yohey Nitz. She was married to Richard Sidney Kraus of Laporte, PA who predeceased her on October 12, 1963. She married Richard E. Steinruck of Laporte and he predeceased her on April 26, 1989. Anna worked at the former Weldon Mfg. Co. of Lopez, PA and later at the Mokoma Inn in Laporte. Anna was a member of the Laporte United Methodist Church. She was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother and enjoyed playing cards and playing bingo. Surviving: Two sons: Randy Kraus Pocono Pines, PA Todd Steinruck Laporte, PA Brother: Herman Nitz Wickenburg, AZ Sisters: Mary (John) Lewandowski Philadelphia, PA Ruth Fritz Baltimore, MD Carolyn (Frank) Schrader Levittown, PA Betty (Jesse) Campbell New Jersey Grandson, Scott Kraus and great granddaughter Cassandra Kraus. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Kraus on March 23, 1999 of Phoenixville, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Robert W. Brown, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Ash Cemetery, Laporte, PA.
