Wenner, age 87, of Lopez, PA passed away on Monday, June 08, 2009, at the Monticello Center of the Riddle Village, Media, PA. Helen was born in Lopez, on January 17, 1922, a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Pishnak Klem. She attended local schools and married Joseph Lee Wenner in Lopez, PA on September 27, 1941. Joe predeceased her on May 18, 2004. She began working at the Weldon Mfg. Co. of Lopez, PA and later worked at Dushore Lingerie in Dushore, PA and the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Mfg. Co. of Mildred, PA. She was a member of Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, PA; Meshoppen Chapter #70 E.O.S and a member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion Auxiliary, Mildred. She was an active member of the Lopez Civic Association and volunteered at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA. She also volunteered making pierogi at St. Vladimir’s Russian Orthodox Church in Lopez. She enjoyed being with her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Wenner Stephen Bond Kevin Bond Katherine Bond 5 Great grandchildren Alex Freeman Mitchell Freeman Daniel Freeman Taylor Wenner Chloe Wenner Brothers and sisters in law: Frank & Joan Klem White Lake, MI Mike & Mary Lou Klem Dushore, PA Esther & Miles Little Benton, PA Rosalie Burke Lopez, PA Josephine Klem Dushore, PA Numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother George Klem and sisters, Tillie Davis and Julia Cole and Anna Sokach. The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, PA with Rev. Randele Lee Albers, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 10th, at the P.
