John was born on January 1, 1922 in Johnstown, PA. Surviving: Spouse; Mary Dolores, Son; Raymond Jerkes; Daughter; Mary Rose (Robert) Berfield; grandchildren; Keith Berfield, Janine Berfield and Zachary Jerkes; great-grandson; Logan Berfield. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and was followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, his pastor, presiding.
