Mary was born January 22, 1909 in Nutley, New Jersey daughter of the late Afansy & Payza Boroshevich Chroniak. She married Peter Stavisky on June 18, 1927 in Old Forge, PA. They resided at various locations in New Jersey moving to Morris Run, PA in 1932, and then to moved back to Lopez, PA in 1937. She and her husband operated the Hotel Lopez from 1945 to 1952. Along with being a mother and housewife, Mary also worked at the former Dushore Lingerie from 1957 till 1971 when she retired. Her husband Peter predeceased her on January 20, 1982, her father in 1917 and her mother in 1968. Mary was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother and friend. She was a member of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Church, Lopez, PA. Surviving: Four sons and daughters-in-law: Joseph (Gladys) Stavisky Orangeville, PA Victor (Mary Louise) Stavisky Ruckersville, VA John (Anne) Stavisky Fairport, NY Michael (Bonnie) Stavisky Montoursville, PA Brother: Peter Chroniak Toms River, NJ Seven Grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Chroniak in 1970, and a sister, Anne Fiorito in 1974. Burial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Church, Lopez, PA with Hieromonk Michael Thier, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the P.
