Eleanor was born in Camptown, January 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Raymond & Suzie Clapper Platt. She graduated from the Wyalusing High School, a member of the class of 1940. After graduation she matriculated to Albright College in Reading, PA, earning a BS in mathematics in 1944. She taught math at the Wyalusing High School for 30 years, and also assisted her husband in the operation of Platt’s Shoe Store in Wyalusing. She married William T. Kinney of Wyalusing on November 26, 1955. Eleanor was a member of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church and a member of the church prayer group. She was also a member of the Wyalusing Lioness Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Wyalusing Alumni Assoc. She was a homemaker and a master gardener with a great love of flowers. Eleanor was a wonderful friend to all who knew her. Surviving: Spouse: Bill Son: William R. Kinney Daughter: Sue Ann Granddaughter: J-Lynd Sherman She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Platt, and a nephew, Peter Platt. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
