Gleockler, age 92, of Overton, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA. Marie was born, on Warburton Hill on March 27, 1914, one of ten children, of the late Raymond Martin & Fredericka Arms Shaffer. She attended local schools and married Elmer Gleockler of Elkland Township on September 3, 1931. Elmer predeceased her on February 27, 1997. Marie worked at the former(s) Weldon Mfg. Co., of Lopez, Sullcraft Mfg. Co and Dushore Lingerie of Dushore, PA and the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Mfg. Co. of Mildred, PA. She also helped her husband with custom farming throughout the Overton area. She was an avid bowler and also enjoyed her pet poodles. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Hugo Corners. Surviving: Daughter: Mrs. Jean Broschart Overton, PA Brother: Ray Shaffer Forest Dale, MA Sisters: Iva Fowler New Albany, PA Grace Allen Greensboro, NC Granddaughter and spouse: Lois Marie and Richard Oliver Overton, PA Grandchildren and spouses: Richard & Carrie Oliver Dover, PA Brian & Shannon Oliver York, PA Great Grandchildren: Samantha Jean Oliver Dover, PA MacKenzie Marie Oliver York, PA Numerous nieces and nephews, including Henry Beebe of New Albany and Olive Holcombe of Wyalusing, PA. She was predeceased by twin grandchildren, Gail & Leo Broschart, a son-in-law, L.J. Broschart on July 7, 1993 and by brothers: Ivan 1915, Irvin 1945, Glenn 1976, Harvey Freas 2005, and sisters: Joyce 2000 and Helen 2006. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mill, PA with the Rev. Robert W. Martin, her former pastor, officiating.
