Kathleen was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 23, 1956 a daughter of the late Walter Nelson and Margaret Mary Murphy Thompson. She graduated from the Sullivan County High School, a member of the class of 1975 and worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry in Philadelphia, before moving back to Sullivan County. Kathleen is survived by two daughters: Valerie Sutherland of Gilette, PA and Martha Nitcznski of Dushore, PA; a grandson, Scott Zurn; two brothers, Stephen Thompson of Williamsport, PA and David Thompson of Dallas, GA; two sisters, Margaret McGroarty, New Albany, PA and Tina Zul of Marlton, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Thompson and William Thompson. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 16, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, pastor, of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA officiating.
