OBITUARY
Carl Manley Randall (Buckboard), age 77, of Stevensville, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 09, 2009 at his home with his loving family at his side after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer.
Carl was born in Montrose, PA on February 16, 1932, a son of the late John & Thelma McKinney Randall. He attended local schools and married the former Catheryn Yanavitch on July 3, 1954; they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Carl served in the United States Army, 187th Airborne Division, having served 3 years in Japan and Korea during the Korean Conflict.
Carl was employed with Irving Loomis and Sons as a heavy equipment operator on road construction for 40 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Wyalusing American Legion Post 534, and the LeRaysville, VFW Post #6824. The love of his life was his wife Catheryn. He loved spending time with his children and his family. Carl also enjoyed tinkering in his garage, driving his John Deere tractor, and pampering his Chevy truck (Blue Boy).

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers: Charles Randall, Kenneth Randall, John Randall, and four sisters: Getty Groover, Lillian Randall, Rosemary Strohl, and Marion Stockholm.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 at 4:00 PM at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA with Jeffrey C. Wilkinson, chaplain of Guthrie Hospice presiding. Calling hours will be from 3-4 PM on Sunday before the service.
