OBITUARY
Mr. Carl T. Bagdon, age 90, of LeRaysville, PA, passed away on Saturday evening, September 8th, 2007 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.
Carl was born on October 17, 1916 in Luzerne, PA a son of the late Anthony and Sally Zessalakus Bagdon. He came to Potterville at an early age.
Carl worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission during the Depression and after WWII he worked as a carpenter for Sordoni Construction until he was injured on the job. He later worked in local construction including the Masonite plant in Towanda, PA, until retiring.
He married Anna C. Yanavitch of Stevensville, on June 17, 1955, and together they raised four sons. Anna preceded him in death on April 22, 2005. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June of 2005.
Surviving are 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Stanley Colegrove Jr., of Stevensville; and Edward Colegrove and Carol Carter of Retta, PA: Daughter-in-law, Erma Bagdon of Wyalusing; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary Jones and Catherine and Carl Randall, both of Stevensville; William Yanavitch of Waverly, NY; Betty Yanavitch and Martha Yanavitch both of Stevensville. There are three grandchildren: Edward Scott Colegrove and Tammy Colegrove both of Bloomsburg, PA, Robert (Heather) Colegrove of Laceyville, PA. Also, 5 great grandchildren, Samantha, Kolby, Patrick, Andrew, and Brianna; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sons and daughter-in-law, Tony Bagdon in May 2001, Joseph & Marlene Colegrove of Laceyville on August 8, 2007, a grandson, Michael Colegrove of Laceyville, on August 8, 2007; three brothers, John, Albert and Francis and five sisters, Lillian, Nellie, Mary, Anna and Bertha; and two brothers-in-law, Anthony Yanavitch and Joseph Yanavitch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, with Fred Wheaton officiating. Interment will be in the Stevensville Cemetery, Stevensville, PA.
Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M until the time of the service.
