Wayne Sullivan, age 63, of New Albany, PA passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Wayne was born on November 9, 1946, son of Anita Kisner Sullivan and the late Patrick Francis Sullivan. He graduated from Wyalusing High School a member of the class of 1964. He then attended Penn State University, graduating with an associate's degree in drafting in 1966. After school Wayne went to work for Arrow United in Wyalusing, Pa as a draftsman. He worked there for a number of years before getting a job with the Bradford County Emergency Services as a 911 dispatcher. He retired as a dispatcher after 25 years of service. Wayne was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Overton, PA. He was an avid Penn State football fan. He enjoyed computers, reading, watching classic movies, working on his family genealogy, and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving: Daughter: Nicole Sullivan New Albany, PA Mother: Anita Sullivan New Albany, PA Brother: Patrick (Jay) James and Bonnie Sullivan Mansfield, PA Sisters: Dawn (William) Vitez Lebanon, PA Jean (James) Heinrichs Shirley, NY Brother-in-law: Charles Farrie Sparta, NJ Five nieces and one great-niece. He was predeceased by his sister Sheryl Farrie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil's Church, Dushore, PA with his pastor, Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, presiding. Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery. A visitation will be held at St. Basils Church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, A 206 Water St., Dushore, PA. The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contributions be sent to the Bradford County Humane Society, PO Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850, or to a charity of their choice in Wayne's name.
