Obituary
Mrs. Marian Litzelman Worthington, age 92, of Towanda Memorial Personal Care Home, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.
Marian was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on December 6, 1917, one of nine children of the late William and Marcella Romaskicz Sitas. She graduated from the Laceyville High School, a member of the class of 1937. She worked at Eclipse Division until her marriage to Lester James Litzelman on June 30, 1943. They built a new home in Overton. She was employed at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Mfg. Co. of Mildred from which she retired after 35 years of service. Jim Litzelman predeceased her on March 15, 1964.
Marian married Foster Gale Worthington of Dushore, PA on November 17, 1985. They purchased a home in New Albany, PA where she resided until recently when she moved to Towanda. Gale predeceased her on September 4, 1999.
Marian was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Overton and a member of the Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion Auxiliary, Dushore, PA.

¬¬¬¬and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Vera Champluvier, Deleora Kinney and Adella Stevens; two brothers: William Sitas and Joseph Sitas; sister-in-law: Beatrice Sitas: brother-in-law: Robert Keeney and a step-son, Jeffrey Worthington.
Funeral will be held on Thursday morning, November 18 2010 at 10:00 A.M. the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Overton, PA
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and on Thursday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Members of IHM Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
