George was born in Mildred, PA on June 12, 1931 a son of the late Robert & Mary Ellen Hunsinger Heath. He married the former Joan R. Philippi of Wilmot on June 25, 1955. They would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this June. George worked in the Lumber industry with the former Flynn's Logging and Lumber Co. For the past 30 years he had owned and operated the Heath Refuse and Recycling Service throughout Sullivan County. His wife Joan and all the children helped in the operation of this business over the years. Surviving: Son: George C. Heath Mildred, PA Five daughters: Roxanne Heath and partner Francis Colegrove Wilmot, PA Lynne (Stephen) Lewis Stowe, PA Beth Burt Mildred, PA Pamela (Chuck) Lewis Harrisburg, PA Colleen (John) McBride Mildred, PA Two brothers: John Heath Exeter, PA Wesley (Elizabeth) Heath Colley, PA Sister: Marjorie (Harold) O'Connor Mildred, PA Sister-in-law: Jeanie Heath Towanda, PA Seven grandchildren: Matthew, Jessica, Allen, Nicole, Brandy, James and Daniel. George was predeceased by brothers: James Heath of Mildred, Robert Heath Jr. of New Albany, Ernest Heath of Towanda; sister Cora Elchak of Lopez: a half-brother, James Heath of Ohio and a half-sister, Margaret Hughes of Ohio. Services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Chapel, Mildred, PA with the Rev. Randele Lee Albers, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Friends may call at the Homer Funeral Home on Sunday, May 16th, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
