OBITUARY
Dale E. Dunklee, age 84 of Sugar Run, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2010 at his home with his loving spouse at his side.
Dale was born in Wyalusing, PA, on February 20, 1926, a son of the late Elanson D. and Gladys Bahr Dunklee. He attended Wyalusing High School, from which he left to join the Marines. He served in WWII from 1942-1945, he also served in the reserves during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1952. He married Florence Thiesen of Wyalusing, PA on July 15, 1946. They ran the Dunklee Bar and Restaurant in Wyalusing for a number of years. Dale then went to work for Sylvania, from which he retired after 33 years of service in 1984.
Dale was a member of the Wyalusing Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Wyalusing American Legion Post #534, and the Asylum VFW Post #6072. Dale enjoyed building things and working with his hands, he built both of his homes, including the house in Sugar Run with the help of his son in law. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting and fishing, and wintering in Florida.

10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by three brothers; Donald, Keith, and Malcomb, and a sister Gainora Staley.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Wyalusing Methodist Church, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Penney M. Rahm his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday evening at the Wyalusing Methodist Church, Wyalusing, PA from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Services are under the direction of P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.
Graveside Military Services will be accorded by members of the Wyalusing American Legion Post #534, and the Asylum VFW Post #6072.
The family will provide the flowers and request that Memorial Contributions be sent to the Wyalusing United Methodist Church, PO Box 155, Wyalusing, PA 18853.
