Betty was born September 6, 1918 in Harwood, PA a daughter of the late Alex & Elizabeth Barron Trovitch. She married Gene F. Carr of Hazleton, in 1934, Gene predeceased her on August 14, 1987. Betty was a homemaker and was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed taking care of her family and her home. Betty was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Hazleton, PA Surviving: Two sons: Rev. Eugene R. Carr Killington, VT James P. Carr Lancaster, PA Daughter: Marjorie Lestishock Allentown, PA Granddaughter: Lisa Lestishock Oakland, CA Brothers: John Trovitch Hamilton Square, NJ Paul Trovitch Ormond Beach, FL Edward Trovitch Hazleton, PA Several nieces and nephews. She predeceased by a grandson, Joseph Lestishock, brothers: Peter & Joseph Trovitch, a sister: Catherine Ustonofski A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 544 N. Broad Street., West Hazleton, PA with the Rev. Eugene R. Carr as principal celebrant with Msgr. Willis W. West and Rev. E. Francis Kelly as concelebrants. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, PA. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass. The family will provide the flowers and direct that memorial contributions be directed to Little Sisters of the Poor, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
