OBITUARY
Joseph Bernard McMahon, age 71, of New Albany, PA passed away peacefully with his family at his side, on Friday, March 24, 2006 at his home.
Joe was born January 17, 1935 in Dushore son of the late Francis B & Mary Farrell McMahon. He graduated from the New Albany High School a member of the class of 1954 and then served in the US Navy. He married the former Irene M. Hochberg of Dushore on April 4, 1959; they would have celebrated their 47 anniversary next week.
Joe was employed as a truck driver for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways for 19 years until illness necessitated his retirement in 1984. He loved his family and grandchildren and enjoyed reading.
Joe was a member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Towanda, and a member of Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion, Dushore, PA.

Six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Eugene F. McMahon of Dushore and Edward McMahon of Monroeton and an infant sister Jane McMahon.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday morning at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
