OBITUARY
Arthur Francis Frederick Sr., age 90, of Herrick Township, Bradford County, PA passed away on Friday, August 04, 2006 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.
Art was born in Philadelphia on Dec. 4, 1915 a son of the late Walter and Sarah Barrett Frederick. He served during WWII in the Army as a Staff Sergeant with the 436th Signal Heavy Construction Battalion in the Pacific. He married the former Mary Kuneck of Philadelphia on July 24, 1937. She predeceased him on February 25, 1995. He worked as an accountant and supervisor for the Heintz Mfg. Co. of Phila., from 1947 to 1954 when they moved to Herrickville where he purchased a dairy farm. He operated the dairy farm until 1960. He went to work for Masonite Corp. in Wysox, in 1965 and retired from there in 1980. In retirement he loved to watch baseball games and spend time with his family.
He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church in Wyalusing, PA and a member of Wyalusing Post #534 American Legion.

Seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was deceased by 8 brothers: John, Calvin, Thomas, Leslie, Walter, Edward and Arthur.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning August 8th, 2006 at 9:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Wyalusing, with the Rev. Philip S. Rayappan, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Stowell, PA.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Graveside Military Services will be accorded by member of Wyalusing Post #534 American Legion. Members are asked to assemble and pass in review on Monday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. There will be a Vigil Service on Monday immediately following the Legion’s pass in review.
