Mildred was born in Pittston, PA on October 26, 1929, a daughter of the late Edward and Stella Sweitzer Snyder. She met and married her husband John Ferranti in 1969. He predeceased her on December 13, 1981. They moved to Rushboro in 1972, and in 1978 moved to Stevensville and purchased the Locust Inn, which Mildred ran until 1989. Mildred loved spending time with family, friends, and her cats. She also enjoyed search-a-words, and collecting teddy bears and toy Indians. Surviving: Daughters and sons-in-law: Susan Gillingham Sayre, PA Joe-Anne and Sam Remington Terrytown, PA Ann and Wayne Vanderpool Spring Lake, PA Son Carl Ferranti Luzerne, Pa Sisters: Clara Rusinko Pittston, PA Stella Mae Benish Morrisville, PA Grandchildren: Leah Gillingham Shawna Gillingham Kym Creeley Delana Vanderpool She was predeceased by her husband, and her brother Edward Snyder. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday June 4, 2006 at 4:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Helen Learn, pastor of the Camptown Methodist Church, Camptown, PA officiating. Interment will be in the Camptown Cemetery.
