Miller, Jr., age 79 of Hillsgrove, PA died on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in the Williamsport Hospital Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Born on October 6, 1926 in Forksville, PA he was the son of John E. Miller, Sr. and Bessie Norton Miller. Mr. Miller retired from the Sullivan County Rural Electric Co-op. He served as a paratrooper during the Korean War. He was a member of the Evergreen Masonic Lodge No. 163 F.A. & M. He enjoyed making grandfather clocks and hunting. He was the widower of the former Lois Betty Snell Miller with whom he was married 51 years. Lois Betty died on June 27, 1998. Surviving are one son, Ronald J. (Mary Ann) Miller of Montoursville, PA, a grandson, Jason R. (Sheri) Miller of Enola, PA, a granddaughter, Holly L. (Akel) Sadou of Harrisburg, PA, two great-granddaughters, Autumn & Leah Miller and one great grandson, Ahmar Sadou, a daughter-in-law, Roseanne Stroup of Montoursville, PA, a brother, Carl E. (Delores) Miller, Sr. of Williamsport, PA, his fiancée, Mabel Curry of Hillsgrove, a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Miller of Monroeton, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Christopher L. Miller , December 26, 1980, a sister Edna L. Upstead, three brothers, Charles, Francis and Floyd Miller and three step brothers, Fred, Lloyd and Elmer Miller. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Forksville United Methodist Church, Forksville, PA with the Rev. Vicki A. Jordan, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn and Christian Hill Cemetery in Warrensville, PA. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water Street, Dushore, PA from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, July 21, 2006. A Masonic service will be held by the Evergreen Lodge No. 163 on Friday evening at 7:00 P.M.
