Gertrude was born March 16, 1917 on Spring Hill, a daughter of the late Edward & Flora Lattimer Hendershot. She graduated from the Camptown High School as valedictorian of the class of 1935. She married Royal C. Champluvier of Laceyville on June 8, 1935 and he predeceased her on August 4, 1989. Gertrude was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and crocheting and especially cooking at many family gatherings. She was a member of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church. Surviving: Daughter and son-in-law: Janice & Richard Latimer Towanda, PA Son and daughter-in-law: Richard & Kay Champluvier Lime Hill, PA Sister: Helen Dickerson Canton, PA Brother-in-law: DeWayne Champluvier Newport, ME Sister-in-law: Iva Champluvier Laceyville, PA Eight grandchildren: Christopher Latimer Melissa (Gordon) Brassfield Steven (Kelly) Latimer Michael (Kelly) Latimer Kelly (Paul) McNemar Amy Champluvier Holly Champluvier Bryan (Jessica) Champluvier Seventeen great grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Barry R. Ballard, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Camptown Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.
