Road, Dushore, PA. She was born in the Bronx, NY on May 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Rocco Castiglia and Pasqualina Senzamici. She married John T. Karaban of Brooklyn, NY on Oct. 13, 1950. Angelina Karaban was a thirty nine year resident of Dushore, PA. She was a loving wife who was predeceased by her husband of 50 years on May 5, 2002. She was a member of St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church in Dushore. Lee, as she was known to her family and friends, enjoyed lunching and “seeing the world” on the bus trips with the women’s club. She spent Sunday afternoons sharing her love of art with her children and passed this tradition on to her grandchildren. She was a humble woman who valued God and family. She will be sadly missed by all. Survivors include five children, four sons and daughters-in-law and one daughter and son-in-law; Joseph and Kristine Karaban of Highland Mills, NY, Thomas Karaban of Dushore, John and Deborah Karaban of Overton, Mary Karaban Sekely and her husband, Paul of Black Walnut; Walter and Karen Karaban of Telford; her brother Thomas Castiglia and his wife Betty of Brewster, NY; eleven grandchildren, Adrienne, Michael, Brendan, Christopher, Chelsea, Jessica, Cassandra, Patrick, JT, Kaylee and Adam. A Transferal service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water Street, Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church in Dushore with Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, her pastor, presiding. Burial will follow in St. Basil’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
