Bob was born in Wyalusing Township, on January 30, 1934 a son of the late Ola Uriah Kinney and Eleanor Root Kinney. He served in the Korean War and after being discharged he worked at Steele's Garage in Wyalusing, PA. He later was employed at GTE Sylvania from which he retired. He married the former Deleora Ann Sitas of Laceyville, PA on September 3, 1955. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2005 and his loving wife Deleora passed away on February 11, 2006. Bob was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Wyalusing, PA He was a dedicated husband and father and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He always had a large garden and share its bounty with family and friends. He was also a member of American Legion Post #42, Towanda, PA. Surviving: Daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Tracy McCarty Carthage, NY Two grandsons: Cory McCarty Carthage, NY Garret McCarty Rochester, NY Brother and sister-in-law: Rueben and Myrna Kinney Herrickville, PA Two sister: Nancy Terescavage Homets Ferry, PA Winnie Wood Wyalusing, PA And several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Marguerite Forsythe and brothers-in-law, Joseph Terescavage and Henry Wood. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA with the Rev. Joseph J. Manarchuck, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to the time of the service. Graveside Military Services will be accorded by members of Post #42 American Legion, Towanda, PA.
