Michael J. Beatty

Michael J. Beatty, 46, of Dushore, PA died Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA. Michael was born November 2, 1959, in Portsmouth, VA, a son of Dorothy Happe Beatty and the late Thomas George Beatty. He graduated from Montoursville High School, Class of 1977, and later served with the U.S. Army in Germany. On November 23, 1984 he married Theresa M. Dailey of Dushore. Michael was employed as a Security Supervisor at Lycoming College for 14 years. He was a member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church. He loved vegetable gardening, reading, and old movies. Michael was dearly loved and will be missed. Survivors: Spouse: Theresa M. Beatty home Mother: Dorothy Beatty Andover, MA Brothers and sisters-in-law: James and Kerrin Beatty Willliamsport Thomas and Kathy Beatty Illinois Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Kathy and Frank Scheuren Wormelsdorf, PA Mary Jo and Jerry Gustus Andover, MA 8 nieces and nephews: Pam Nelson; Sarah and James Gustus; Colin, Kyle, Dorothy, George, and Lilly Beatty. He was predeceased by his father Thomas Beatty in 1975 and his sister Dorothy Beatty in 1985. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Basil’s Catholic Church, Dushore, with Rev. Thomas R. Hudak presiding. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
