Harris Jr., age 66, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Jim was born on March 27, 1943, in Doylestown, PA, a son of the late James R. and Mary R Dreaver Harris. He graduated from Central Bucks High School, Doylestown, PA, class of 1961. After graduation he worked locally at the A & P Grocery store. Jim met and married the former Gloria Pepe of Lansdale, PA, on May 23, 1964. He enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, in Hershey, PA, on September 16, 1965. He served as a Pennsylvania State Trooper and as a Criminal Investigator for 21 years. He was honorably discharged on August 8, 1986. Jim and Gloria moved to the Wyalusing area in June of 1996. Jim was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Wyalusing, as well as the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed hunting and spending time in the outdoors. He had an affinity for cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Jim enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren. Jim was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. A Transferal Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Joseph J.
