Romayne was born in Forest City, PA on April 7, 1930 a daughter of the late Nicholas and Jule Zondorak Morris. She graduated from the Lodi High School a member of the class of 1947. She married Stephen Popadich of Garfield, NJ on October 11, 1952. They recently celebrated their 53 wedding anniversary. They resided in Saddlebrook, NJ until retiring to Dushore in 1985. Romayne was a member and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Basil’s Catholic Church, Dushore, PA and a member of the Tuesday Book Club and also a friendly visitor for the Area Agency on Aging and a member of Loyalsock Post#996 American Legion Auxiliary, Dushore. She was a loving Spouse and mother and grandmother and really enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling and sewing. Surviving: Spouse: Stephen at home Two sons and daughters-in-law: Keith & Rita Popadich Saddlebrook, NJ Gary & Jane Popadich Sky Meadows, PA Daughter and son-in-law: Debra & Ronald Gutosky Dushore, PA Five grandchildren: Kristin Gutosky Kimberly Popadich Michelle Gutosky James Cameron Elizabeth Popadich And a nephew. She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Burchfield of Dushore, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Mildred, PA. Friends may call on Monday, Feb. 20th at the Homer Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Members of St. Basil’s St. Francis Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:00 P.M. on Monday afternoon at the funeral home. There will be a Vigil Service on Monday afternoon at 1:45 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will provide the flowers and request that Memorials be directed to the Sullivan County Library, PO Box 309, Dushore, PA 18614-0309.
