Place, age 52, of Mehoopany, died on Friday, April 10, 2009 in Dushore, PA as a result of a motorcycle accident. Jerry was born in Santa Barbara, CA on December 12, 1956 a son of Lawrence H. & Billie J. Turner Place of Zephyrhills, FL and Mehoopany, PA. He graduated from the Tunkhannock High School, a member of the class of 1975. He served in and was honorably discharged from the US Army. Jerry was a welder by trade and previously worked for the Ronco Sheet Metal Manufacturing Company of Mill City, PA and was lately employed by Mehoopany Township Supervisors. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding his motor cycle and hunting and fishing. Jerry was a member of the Lovelton Community Bible Church. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mehoopany Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Mills, his pastor officiating and Pastor Joe Billingsley, pastor of the Mehoopany Baptist Church participating. Interment will be in the Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany. Friends may call on Tuesday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P.
