Mr. Michael R. Milarta age 78, of Wyalusing, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Robert Packer Hospital with his loving family at his side. Mike was born in St. Albans Queens, NY, on September 26, 1938 a son of the late Louis E. Milarta Sr. & Marguerite Zielke Milarta. He graduated from Morristown High School a member of the class of 1956. He relocated to the Wyalusing Area when he was 19, having worked at Taylor McCarty’s Garage, Honchell’s market, Brick’s Market, and retiring from P&N Packing in 2004. He met and later married the former Betty Louise Walters on October 26, 1969, and she predeceased him on April 10, 2002. He enjoyed working on his 1930 Model A Ford, as well as woodworking. He was a loving father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Also spending time with his faithful four legged companion Brandy. He will be remembered for his quick sense of humor and his ability to have extended conversations with anyone who was willing to listen. Minyon Camptown, PA 3 grandchildren: Kayla Jo Matuszak Carys E. Clark Gavin J. Clark He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant daughter Angela Dawn Milarta in August 1973, a brother Daniel H. Milarta in 1969, a sister Hope Minyon on July 28, 2013, a niece Sabrina Lynn Milarta on August 13, 2006. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Heather M. Baker-McAllister, officiating. Interment will follow at Wyalusing Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Thursday March 16, 2017, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
