Marie B. Bonanni

Marie B. Bonanni, age 67, of Dushore, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, PA with her loving family at her side.             Marie was born, February 24, 1950 daughter of the late Andrew L. & Marjorie J. Kracoski McDonald.  She graduated from the Sullivan County High School a member of the class of 1968.              She began working at Procter and Gamble, Mehoopany, PA and retired from their I.T. Department in 2002 after 30 years of service.                     She married Paul “Piey” Bonanni on March 15, during the Blizzard of 1993.  He predeceased her on February 10, 2002.             Marie enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and traveling with Domani.   Surviving: Daughter: Domani Pedro (Becky Gernert),                                 Dushore, PA Two step-daughters: Marie Bonanni                                                             Pittston, PA Paula Robinson                                                           Pittston, PA Step-granddaughter: Amanda Palmieri and her son Cameron   Three brothers: Michael (Debra) McDonald,                                       Muncy Valley, PA Mark McDonald,                                                           Dushore, PA Richard (Charlotte) McDonald,                                  Carlisle, PA     Three Aunts: Dorothy Deegan,                                                          Scranton, PA Marian McMahon,                                                       Lexington, SC Joan Ammerman,                                                Clarks Summit, PA   Nieces and nephews: Shawn McDonald Stephen McDonald Alyssa McDonald Laura McDonald Stephanie McDonald Michael McDonald Katie McDonald   Great nieces and nephews: Riley, Tailynn, Langston, Aija, and Tommy.             She was predeceased by her brother: Thomas Morgan McDonald on August 23, 1978.             A Transferal Service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614 and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Very Rev. Glenn E. McCreary V.E., presiding.  Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery.             Friends may call on Sunday, March 12th, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  There will be a recitation of the Rosary at 3:00 P.M.
