Marguerite "Peggy" Ann Coyle McClintic

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Marguerite (Peggy) Coyle McClintic, passed away on January 21, 2017, in Fresno, CA, at the age of 91.           Peggy was born in New Albany, PA, on June 27, 1925, to John Edward Coyle and Rachel Ann (Lynch) Coyle. After graduating high school in 1943, she worked for the federal government in Washington, D.C., then earned Master’s degrees in education and administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She moved to Fresno, CA to become the Assistant Director of Nursing at what is now Community Regional Medical Center, then taught nursing at CSU Fresno, where she met J. Robert (Bob) McClintic. They were married on February 22, 1963.           Peggy maintained an active RN license for 57 years. She also owned a real estate business, volunteered as a tax preparer and local coordinator at Clovis Senior Center for over 25 years, took aqua aerobics into her late eighties, and was active in her grandsons’ lives.           She is survived by her husband J. Robert McClintic of Fresno, daughters Cathleen McClintic of Crownsville, MD, Colleen Pendergrass and Marlene Hubbell of Fresno, and grandsons Austin Hubbell, and Zachary and Aaron Pendergrass, all of Fresno.             Peggy was predeceased by her parents and six siblings.           A Transferal Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore PA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Richard Rojas, presiding.
