Robert Thomas Balog

Mr. Robert T. Balog Sr., age 66, of New Albany, PA, passed away Monday evening, November 28, 2016. Robert was born on July 10, 1950, a son of the late John Edward & Lucy Schaffer Balog in Allentown, PA. He graduated from the Bensalem High School a member of the class of 1968. He married the former Evelynn Ann Jones of Long Island, NY, on April 11, 1998. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and suffered disabling injuries during the Vietnam Conflict. He moved and made his home in Overton 1983. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, especially his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a member of the A.J. Bird Memorial Post #384 V.F.W. New Albany, PA. Surviving: Wife: Evelynn A. Jones Balog at home Two sons: Robert Balog Jr. New Albany, PA John Paul Balog New Albany, PA Two daughters: Robin (Alan) Hale Bensalem, PA Diana Lynn Morse Seattle, WA Brother: Paul (Debbie) Balog Lakeland, FL Three sisters: Theresa (Herbert) Wagner Levittown, PA Maria Balog Bei Lynnville, TN Margaret Balog Franklindale, PA Also surviving are ten grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, John Balog and by two sisters: Lucy Bossard and Susanne Biache. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
