Clifford Chilson

Clifford Chilson, age 88, of Asylum Township, Bradford County, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 07, 2016 at the Guthrie Memorial Hospital in Towanda, PA with his loving family at his side. Clifford was born in Towanda, PA, on January 1, 1928 a son of the late Max H. Chilson Sr. and Daisy Stevenson Chilson. He married the former Kay Currier of CT on January 19, 1973. Clifford retired from Ingersoll Rand, of Athens, PA after 25 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifetime member of the Towanda Gun Club, and a former member of the Towanda Boat Club. Surviving: Spouse: Kay Chilson, at home Two sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel (Mary) Chilson, Towanda, PA Clifford (Gretchen) Chilson, Liberty Corners, PA Two daughters and a son-in-law: Julie (Gary) Schmeckenbecher, Towanda, PA Cathy Marcy, Homosassa, FL Step son: Donald Patton, Theresa, NY Daughter-in-law: Jennifer Chilson, East Smithfield, PA Three brothers: Max Chilson Jr., Asylum Twp., PA Thomas (Rosetta) Chilson, Wyalusing, PA Wilmer (Margaret "Peggy") Chilson, Asylum Twp., PA Sister: Susan "Susie" (Ernest) Woodruff, Mineral Wells,TX 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; a son David Chilson, of East Smithfield, PA on Sept. 25, 2011; a son-in-law: Carl Marcy; a sister, Margaret Doane of Elmira, NY on Feb. 17, 2001; and brothers, Paul Chilson of Canton, on Sept. 13, 2000; and Albert Chilson of Asylum Township, on April 16, 2005; Franklin D. Chilson of Asylum Township, on Jan. 4, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September, 12 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Canon Maureen AtLee Hipple, officiating. Interment will follow in the French Asylum Cemetery, Asylum Township, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning, September 12, 2016 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at 10:30 A.M.
