Zoria L LaLonde

Zoria L. Butler LaLonde, age 89, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016, with her loving family at her side. Zoria was born on August 4, 1927, in Gatesville, MS, a daughter of the late Henry and Fannie McLoud Butler. Zoria married Roy Greer in 1943; he was a member of the US Army infantry and was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge. Zoria later met and married Louis LaLonde Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, on July 30, 1945. He predeceased her in 1992. She moved to Wyalusing in 1989 where she enjoyed working at the Wyalusing Valley High School, at the front desk as well as and helping out in the library. She was a 26 year resident at Park Place, Wyalusing, PA. She was known as Mom, Gammie, and GG-ma. She loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving: Two sons and daughters-in-law: Louis and Lala LaLonde III Wyalusing, PA David LaLonde and Susan Hamer Pittsburgh, PA Daughter: Leah Bruder Pittsburgh, PA Son-in-law: Herman Bowser Pittsburgh, PA Grandchildren: Bill, Amy, Jeff, Melissa, Louis IV, Tessa, Leigh Ann, Jessica, and David 9 Great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister: Kay Mazur, daughter Mary Bowser, grand-daughter Linda Bowser, grandson David LaLonde, son-in-law William Bruder, daughter-in-law Carol LaLonde. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Park Place Fund, 62 Riverside Dr., Wyalusing, PA 18853.
