Jean Keeney Herman

Jean Keeney Herman, age 90, of Evergreen, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016, with her loving family at her side. Jean was born on March 14, 1926, in New Era, PA, a daughter of the late Floyd Ezra and Myra Suzanne Collins Keeney. Jean attended and graduated from New Albany High School in 1945. She met and married Hollis “Pat” Herman of Rushville, PA, on August 24, 1945, in Camptown, PA, he predeceased her on November 28, 2012. Jean was a member of the Evergreen Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She and Pat enjoyed taking the family camping in their early years. Jean also loved Gospel music having traveled all over to attend Gospel music concerts with Hollis. She also enjoyed crocheting and crafts of all sorts. Surviving: Sons and daughters-in-law: Phil and Donna Herman, Towanda, PA Ted and Kathy Herman, Jermyn, PA Daughters and sons-in-law: Dianne and David Masters, New Era, PA Marcea and Bill Kinney, Wyalusing, PA Lorraine and Garth Bovier, Towanda, PA Sandra Herman, Topeka, KS Two sisters-in-law: Marie Jenner, Wyalusing, PA Betty DeWitt, Herrickville, PA 14 Grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers; Ivan, Paul, Lester and Howard Keeney as well as 4 sisters; Ruth Hibbard, Marian Robinson, Tillie Hatch, and Charlotte Berkley. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016, at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, at 11:00AM with Pastor Michael Dodd presiding. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, New Albany, PA. Family and friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, in Wyalusing, on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
