Ronald K Horst

Ronald K. Horst, age 62, of Stevens, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at his cabin in Elkland Township, Sullivan County, PA. Ron was born January 11, 1954 in Lancaster, PA a son of the late Woodrow Royer Horst and Mary Helen Becker Horst. He graduated from the Conestoga Valley High School, a member of the class of 1973. He married the former Joyce Beck on July 23, 1999 and celebrated 17 years of marriage. Ron worked as a Mason on many commercial construction projects in the Lancaster area. Ron was a private person and most enjoyed the outdoors and hunting deer and small game. He enjoyed picking blueberries and playing in the woods and telling stories to his many friends and family. Surviving: his loving spouse, Joyce at home; daughter, Melissa Nissley of Ephrata, PA; and a sister, Christine Horst of Schaefferstown, PA, and an aunt, Rebecca “Betty” Horst of Lebanon, PA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Quentin United Church of Christ, 11 East Main St., Lebanon, PA 17083 at 11:00 A.M. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
