Thomas John Fritsch, age 72, of Dushore, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 08, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side.
Tom was born March 7, 1944, a son of the late Carl William & Mary Helen Thayer Fritsch. He graduated from St. Basil’s High School a member of the class of 1962. He served in the US Army during Vietnam from 1965 to 1967. Returning home, he married the former Mary Margaret “Mimi” Lang on March 7, 1970. Tom began working for Proctor & Gamble and retired in July of 1997 after 30 years of service.
Tom was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore and a member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA; the White Ash Land Association; and the Dushore Fire Co. NO 1. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed being with his grandchildren and attending soccer games. He was a Cub Scout leader and also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in various sports events. He also enjoyed attending the Troy Fair and seeing all the animals.

And numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers: Carl Fritsch of Ulster, PA and David Fritsch of Mildred, PA
A Transferal Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614 and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Richard Rojas, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery.
Graveside Military Services will be accorded by members of McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA and by the US Army Honor’s detail.
Friends may call on Saturday morning March 12th, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Transferal.
