Florence Charlotte Campbell

Mrs. Florence Charlotte Campbell, 80, well known Albany Township resident, passed away on Sunday, March 06, 2016 Florence was born October 31, 1935, on Norway Ridge, Bradford County, a daughter of the late Harold M. & Georgia E. Huffman Swope Roberts Sr. She graduated from the Wyalusing Valley High School, a member of the class of 1953. She married Henry E. Campbell of Terrytown on March 13, 1954 in Lumberton, N.C., while he was serving with the US Army during the Korean War. He predeceased her on March 4, 2015, after 60 years of marriage. She was a lifetime Albany Township resident and life member of the New Era United Methodist Church. She was a farm wife, and former President of the Antique Tractor Club, former school bus driver for the Wyalusing Area School District, Trustee of the New Albany Community Library, Story Hour Leader, former foster parent, Vice-President of the New Era Cemetery Association, Community Club Treasurer and chief cook and meal planner at New Era United Methodist Church, in addition to volunteering at the Sullivan County Fair. She and Henry loved camping and spending time with their family. Surviving: Two sons and daughter-in-law: Edmund S. Campbell Canmer, KY Andy D. Roberts Wyalusing, PA Seven grandchildren: Jessica (Jeffrey) Pennella, Shunk; Francis (Korie) Lambert, Cornelius, NC; Daniel (Amber) Lambert, Dushore, PA; Benjamin E. (Kayla) Lambert, Forksville, PA; Thomas P. (Danielle) Lambert, Overton, PA; Brandon Campbell, Evergreen; and Tyler Campbell, Evergreen; eight great grandchildren: David and Cecelia Lambert, NC; Carter, Ryder, and Harper Lambert, Forks Twp.; Quinn Florence and Samson Pennella, Shunk; and Everly Lambert, Overton; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her special Dog, “Ava.” She was predeceased by a daughter, Kimi Sue Campbell in 1959; brothers: Harold M. Roberts Jr. on March 3, 1990, Ralph V. Roberts on October 20, 1993, and Keith Elden Roberts on March 16, 2004 and a brother-in-law: John W. Carter on December 10, 2008. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853 with James K. Magee, lay minister, officiating. Interment will be in the Terrytown Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday March 10, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
