Peggy Ann Gerrity Campbell, age 62, of Payson, AZ, formerly of Newark DE and Dushore, PA died January 10, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, from complications of MDS/bone marrow failure.
Born March 27, 1953 in Wilkes Barre, PA she was a daughter of the late Jack and Peg Harrington Gerrity and was raised in Dushore, PA. Peggy Ann and her husband, Iain were married on October 11, 1980. In 2011 the Campbell’s retired to the small mountain town of Payson, AZ where they resided until her death.
Surviving besides her husband, are her sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Richard Beardsley; Her brother and sister in law, Pat and Bonnie Gerrity; Sister-in-law, Nancy Gerrity; brother-in-law, Bruce Dieffenbach and Brother-in-law, Ramsay Campbell and fiancé Sue Ewing. Nieces: Susan Gerrity, Ann Marie (Frank) Gillespie. Nephews: Jim (Andrea) Spako, Scott (Tina) Dieffenbach. Seven Great nieces and nephews and special and loving godchildren, Caitlin Lambert and Scott Dieffenbach and many cousins. Besides her parents, Peggy Ann was also predeceased by her oldest brother, Jackie and youngest sister, Maureen.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 2431 Frazier Road, Newark, DE on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM.
Friends may call at the Church from 9:30 A.M. until the Mass on Friday morning.
A Transferal Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from the P. Dean Homer funeral home at 11:30 A.M., followed by a Graveside Service at 12:00 Noon at St. Basil’s Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Homer funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
