Edwin D. Cole, age 74, of Dushore, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA Ed was born December 14, 1941 the son of the late Edwin L. & Julia Klem Cole. He graduated from the Turnpike High School a member of the class of 1959. He served in the US Navy during the Cuban Crisis. He married the former Sandra Ambrosius of Wilmot on January 22, 1964. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary last year. He began working for Triple V Construction and later worked for GTE Sylvania, starting as an electrician and retiring as a Manager after more than 30 years of service. In retirement he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren and following the stock market daily. He was also on EMTA board of directors for 10 years. Ed was a member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA and a 38 yr. member of the Dushore Lions Club and a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 2191 in Towanda, PA and the White Ash Land Association and a member of the Eagles Mere Country Club. Surviving: Spouse: Sandra at home Two daughters: Annette (Robert) Cole Gill Middletown, PA Sandee Cole & Srdjan Stojanovic Hoboken, NJ Sister: Kathryn (Robert) Hippenstiel Montoursville, PA Three grandchildren: Blake Cole Gill Cole Alexander Stojanovic Caroline Gill and four nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Jane Kravitz on May 8, 2003, and a nephew, Daniel Cole Kravitz on November 20, 2002. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contributions be sent to the Dushore Fire and Ambulance Association, PO Box 1, Dushore, PA 18614.
